GlassHouse Continues to Deliver "User-Driven" Approach to Information Management with New European Executive Appointment

Company hires Paul Hammond, who brings 20 years of experience managing complex IT environments

Framingham, MA and London, UK – GlassHouse Technologies, Inc. has announced the appointment of Paul Hammond as technology services director. With 20 years of IT and critical project delivery experience in the oil and gas industry for diverse companies such as Halliburton, Shell and Kvaerner, Hammond brings significant client experience that will benefit GlassHouse's customers—particularly in the oil and gas industry, an important and growing focus for the company. Hammond's experience includes delivering enterprise-level IT projects across massive organizations and helping customers optimize their storage infrastructures.

Based in the UK, Hammond joined GlassHouse Technologies in the technology services division to run all aspects of service, ranging from delivery, design implementation and support. His appointment demonstrates GlassHouse's commitment to recruit staff with significant client and industry expertise, to facilitate its growth and deliver a customer-driven approach to managing data storage complexity.

"Paul's appointment is a reflection of the dramatic increase of demand within enterprises for comprehensive project planning to manage cost and risk relating to data management. He is a perfect example of the talent that GlassHouse has within our organization," said Mark Shirman, president and CEO, GlassHouse Technologies.

GlassHouse's continued expansion has been a result of helping organizations better handle increasingly complex storage issues. As organizations cope with increasing amounts of complex data in line with business and legal demands, their needs have evolved from vendor solutions to long-term strategy development in order to maximize infrastructure investments.

"As organizations grow, their IT storage infrastructure has rapidly evolved from a back office function to a crucial part of the business, where it must be both dependable and align to business needs," said Hammond. "Complex storage issues are not easily solved by buying hardware and software alone. Having been on the client side, I fully understand the issues companies face and the need to justify IT investment back to the organization."
