Leveraging deep technical, storage and backup services experience as well as in-depth knowledge of market demands, the Senior Consultant (SC), supports the definition of the GlassHouse Services offerings and partners with sales, delivery and clients to drive delivery procedures and support GlassHouse’s ability to achieve booking and revenue targets.
The SC is responsible for the high quality delivery of Professional Services (Strategy Services and Design & Implementation Services) to our clients and works within a designated Practice area within the World Wide Delivery team.
Qualifications:

Experienced professional services/technical consultant to lead pre-sales engagement calls with customers and to deliver engagements sold.

Proven experience as a successful technical storage consultant with client relationship management, technical pre-/post-sales experience, and exposure to people management.

Detailed knowledge of the storage industry and associated emerging trends. Knowledge of the different GlassHouse services and offerings.

Demonstrated technical design and implementation of storage solutions.
-
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
-
Area of expertise – 2 x disk based products, 2 x backup products.
-
Strong skill level with a niche product (Minimum of 1).

Strong design capabilities (Medium to large engagements) – Technical Design Authority

Technical ownership of engagement (technically leading the team).

Strong understanding of markets, opportunities, and competitors as well as business issues and challenges.

Understanding of the sales and delivery process.

Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to GlassHouse customers and employees.

Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus.

Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Responsibilities:

Ensure individual utilisation target on billable engagements for GlassHouse is achieved.

Ensure individual delivery responsibilities on billable engagements for GlassHouse are achieved.

Ensure team delivery responsibilities on billable engagements for GlassHouse are achieved, through technical ownership of the engagement.

Work with Account Executives, Managing Partners, Engagement Partners, Delivery Managers, Principal Consultants, Senior Consultants and Project Services to develop proposed solutions, Level of Effort estimates and to position follow on work to customers.

Articulate the value of GlassHouse services to clients’ technical staff; demonstrate the ability of GlassHouse services to solve customer problems.

Consulting Craft: Demonstrate proficiency within areas of subject matter expertise, written/verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and delivery. Serve effectively in project leadership roles (Strategy and D&I) on small, medium and large engagements. Follow project norms and guide others to achieve both individual and team-based goals.

Build GlassHouse through creation and/or participation in training, mentoring, IP development, conference attendance, and other activities.

Recognised internal expert within technical/functional areas; Develop new techniques, processes and standards; Track industry developments for new tools and techniques.

Identify efficiencies and anticipate/resolve potential problems. Use creative approach to problem-solving that broadens client and team thinking. Design, perform and oversee key areas of analysis and technical decision-making. Guide overall technical/functional approach.

Support the development and ensure the refinement of offerings; practice strategies, standards, policies and procedures.
