Meet our executive team:

Patrick J. Scannell Jr., President and CEO

Patrick Scannell serves as President and CEO of GlassHouse Technologies.  Pat brings a rich operational and financial background to GlassHouse, with more than 30 years of experience helping to guide and scale businesses to success, focusing on building highly differentiated and disruptive value propositions to aggressively capitalize on emerging market opportunities.  Pat previously served as senior vice president, CFO and treasurer of Netezza, Inc., where he led Netezza's 2007 initial public offering on the New York stock exchange, and was instrumental in negotiating the sale of Netezza to IBM for $1.9B in November 2010. Previously Pat was SVP and CFO of Silknet Software, where he took the company public on NASDAQ before orchestrating its sale to Kana (NASDAQ: KANA) for $4.2B, a leading provider of enterprise customer support and communications applications. He currently sits on the board of KIVA Systems, an innovative material handling and warehouse automation provider, and on the board of Xtalic Corporation, a metallurgy platform company that transforms metal alloys to new properties for a variety of industry uses.  Pat is also on the executive committee of the Boston College Technology Council. He received his B.S. from Boston College and an MBA from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.  

 

Andy Norman, Senior Vice President - Service Delivery

As SVP Service Delivery, Andy is responsible for the worldwide delivery of GlassHouse services, driving consistency, quality and responsiveness to meet our client’s needs.   Andy brings two decades of experience managing people, processes and technology to deliver comprehensive IT services, and this deep background in data center infrastructure services provides a valuable perspective to enable GlassHouse to deliver enterprise services with a scalable and efficient methodology, and with the agility to meet dynamic customer requirements for data storage, security, cloud, virtualization and related services.   Prior to GlassHouse, Andy’s experience includes Xyratex and Sagitta Performance Systems, a company he founded which was acquired by GlassHouse in 2004. He is a graduate of Brunel University with a Bachelors of Science and a Masters in Engineering.

  

Richard Scannell, Senior Vice President

Richard Scannell co-founded GlassHouse in 2001. In his role as SVP of Corporate Strategy and Sales, Richard is responsible for GlassHouse's market strategy and North American Sales.  Prior to GlassHouse, Richard served as COO of UpSource, a start-up company providing outsourced CRM services. Prior to UpSource, Richard held a senior IT infrastructure management role with Motorola. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Computer Science from University College Cork, Ireland.

 

Jay Seaton, Chief Marketing Officer 

Jay Seaton is Chief Marketing Officer at GlassHouse Technologies, responsible for worldwide marketing.  Jay has extensive experience in all aspects of global marketing, including corporate and product marketing, channel development, product management and business development for both private and public companies.  His experience spans software, services, networking and application development segments where he has consistently developed global marketing teams with high growth programs and results.  Prior to joining GlassHouse, Jay served as CMO for Airwide Solutions, a leader in mobile software, acquired in 2011 by Mavenir Systems.  Previously Jay served as Vice President of Global Marketing for NaviSite, and was part of the team that grew NaviSite from startup through successful IPO.  Jay's prior experience also includes CMO and VP Operations, Sales and Business Development for Sockeye Networks and VP Sales and Marketing for RADnet.  Jay is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Internet Professionals, serves as company spokesperson and has been a frequent speaker on scalable metrics-oriented marketing to ensure profitability and effectiveness of results.

 

Jeff Wakely, Chief Financial Officer

Jeff Wakely serves as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for GlassHouse’s global finance and administrative functions.   Jeff has deep experience with high-growth technology companies, coupled with extensive financial and compliance expertise.   Prior to joining GlassHouse, Jeff served as CFO and Treasurer for TechTarget, Inc (NASDAQ:TTGT), a leading online destination for technology organizations and IT professionals.   Prior to joining TechTarget, Jeff was the Chief Accounting Officer,  Vice President of Finance and Assistant Treasurer for NetScout Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT) an industry leader in network management solutions.   Jeff’s background also includes financial executive roles at both publicly and privately-held companies including Thermo Electron (now Thermo-Fischer Scientific), VMark Software (now part of IBM), and Infinium Software.  Jeff received his Bachelors in Accountancy from Wake Forest University, and is also a recognized financial leader having presented and served on various speaking panels and been quoted as an industry expert for publications such as CFO magazine.

 

Regional Managers

Europe: Paul McGolpin

Paul McGolpin is responsible for managing all client relationships in the UK and Europe, and is tasked with expanding GlassHouse Technologies’ business across those markets. He brings a proven track record of success growing revenue business and customer relationships across the UK and Europe through his senior leadership roles at several services companies, including Keane and Sapient. In addition to Keane, Sapient and CPA Global, McGolpin also had a similar role with Fusionai, where he was an operational partner assisting with a number of strategic and operational opportunities for the organization’s portfolio of companies. In this position, McGolpin developed and implemented a plan for growth, based around cloud computing, to double the size of the business in three years. McGolpin has also held leadership roles at Cambridge Technology Partners, Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM. McGolpin’s services experience also includes his work as the managing director of the UK and Europe at Keane and as a senior vice president at Sapient where he was primarily responsible for generating strategic new business opportunities. He also served as the global and commercial sales director at CPA Global where he was tasked with delivering a strategy for global diversification.  

Israel & Turkey: Yoel Yaskerovitch

Yoel is responsible for all GlassHouse operations in the Israel and Turkey, as well as emerging markets. He oversees consulting strategy, sales management, and service delivery and execution.  Prior to joining GlassHouse, Yoel was the Chief Business Officer and Senior Vice President of Taldor, a provider of business and IT solutions, and one of the top three systems integrators in Israel.  In his tenure there, he also served as CEO of Taldor Managed Services.  He has been responsible for driving significant deals and enterprise projects in all verticals of the public and private sector, as well as guiding the senior management team to meet aggressive goals for growth and accountability.  Prior to Taldor, Yaskerovitch held roles at Microsoft and Magic Software Corporation.
 

Emre Pekar manages the daily operations as well as short and long term strategy developments and finance operations of GlassHouse in Turkey. Emre was the General Manager of MBI-Turkey, before it was acquired by GlassHouse. Under his leadership MBI-Turkey grew to support critical data protection systems in some of the leading companies in Turkey and the Middle East. Emre has a degree in Management Information Systems from the Bogazici UnivTurkey: Emre Pekar 

 Emre Pekar manages the daily operations as well as short and long term strategy developments and finance operations of GlassHouse in Turkey. Emre was the General Manager of MBI-Turkey, before it was acquired by GlassHouse. Under his leadership MBI-Turkey grew to support critical data protection systems in some of the leading companies in Turkey and the Middle East. Emre has a degree in Management Information Systems from the Bogazici University, Istanbul.

  

 

APAC: John Merryman

John is responsible for operations and development of our Australian business, along with strategic development of the APAC region. John worked with GlassHouse through a variety of delivery leadership roles, most recently serving as the global lead for storage and backup services. He has experience in a wide range of consulting and operational roles, for over 15 years in the industry, with a strong track record for running large complex IT initiatives for enterprise clients. He is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelors of Science.

  • GlassHouse Technologies Announces Decision to Withdraw IPO

    December 6, 2011

    Framingham, Mass. – December 6, 2011 – GlassHouse Technologies, a global provider of cloud, virtualization, security and next generation data center consulting and managed services, today announced that based on current market conditions, it has chosen not to proceed with its planned initial public offering at this time. The company intends to withdraw its registration statement on Form S-1 as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
